Inaugural Founders Formal Fundraiser Event

It has been more than 3 decades since a group of enterprising community members formed a steering committee to plan a second golf course for the City of Fort McMurray. In 1984, the original founders of the Fort McMurray Golf Club envisioned a golf club that would provide the community and guests with a championship quality golf course.

In 2003 the permanent clubhouse was opened to provide a hospitality experience through high quality facilities, dedicated staff, and friendly atmosphere.

This vision is what has set the tone for the Fort McMurray Golf Club and is the reason why today the facility, course and staff continue to provide the preferred golf experience for Hospitality, Service and Tradition in Northern Alberta.

This February we will be celebrating our culture and heritage by honouring the founders who created it. We would like to invite you to the Inaugural Founders Formal. This will be an annual event that will showcase the facility and hospitality team, as well serve as a opportunity to address new and exciting initiatives for the upcoming season. Each year at the Founders Formal we will recognize one of the original founders and their contributions to the legacy they helped create.

The Founders Formal is an interactive evening that will stimulate all your senses with incredible food and beverage, live entertainment and our fabulous Clubhouse. Attendees at the Founders Formal will experience first hand the vision of creating a golf community and culture that was put in motion over 30 years ago and why it is important to support the tradition that keeps the culture alive. Unique opportunities for 2020 will be unveiled this evening – giving patrons in attendance the chance to take advantage.
